Memphis’ William Novick, MD, of the International Children’s Heart Foundation to accept inaugural award in Washington, DC April 11th
Washington, DC (April 5, 2013) Dr. William Novick, of Memphis, TN will assume the national stage next Thursday April 11 to accept 2013’s Real Award as an honoree in the Pediatric Care category. The presentation, taking place on Capitol Hill, will feature Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Ambassador Jimmy Kolker, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The ceremony is sponsored by Save the Children and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The International Children’s Heart Foundation is a non-profit medical charity dedicated to providing lifesaving surgical care to children with congenital heart defects in developing countries around the world. Since 1993, more than 6,000 children in 30 different countries have received surgical care and thousands of other children have benefited from the education and training provided to the in-country medical staff during these humanitarian trips.
