Artist Ken Winford was born with Congenital Heart Disease, and at age 15, he was forced to undergo a major heart surgery after a traumatic accident revealed the issue. After the surgery, he realized how lucky he was to be in such a great hospital with talented cardiac doctors and nurses and that others with the same disease were not always as lucky. Since his life-saving surgery, Ken made it his mission to provide a unique fundraising opportunity for health and sports charities through his distinctive chili pepper heart paintings. Recently, he launched a line of chili pepper heart T-shirts to benefit ICHF as well as Corner of Love and the Uganda Lacrosse Association. Fifty percent of each of these shirts sold will benefit ICHF!
