Edik - a 7 month old weighing only 4kg, with ASD, VSD and PDA - all skin and bone - failure to thrive, operated by Professor Novick and assisted by local chief of Pediatric Cardiac surgery in Kharkiv, extubated less than an hour after surgery, feeding by bottle at 4 hours - will stay in ICU a day or two more

Anastasia age 9 - ASD closure - second case Tuesday - walked out of ICU at 10 am Wednesday , last seen at 3pm out of bed coloring and eating strawberries

Day 2:
1. Parvana - age 1 yr 8 months Emergency BT shunt - Tetralogy - was ventilated overnight tues-wed

This is Edik.  He was operated yesterday.  His defect was pretty straight forward and he is now completely corrected.  He was drinking from a bottle the same day as his operation.  He should start to gain weight rapidly now that his heart is fixed.  He is 7 months old and weighs about 9 lbs.!
