ICHF is always in need of medical equipment for our mission trips to developing countries. These donations not only assist us in performing free pediatric heart surgeries, but they also help our partner hospitals further their own cardiac care programs long after our volunteer medical teams depart.
What’s more, we can often use medical supplies that would ordinarily be discarded in more developed countries. We accept donations of non-sterile, expired or even items that have been opened onto the operating field (as long as they are not used), as we can re-sterilize these items based on the country-specific regulations.
