These team members, each remarkably accomplished in their profession, donated their time and energy on this challenging mission without any compensation. These twenty individuals took time away from their families and professions to work harder than many can imagine. They did this enthusiasm, energy, and a deep compassion for the Nigerian children. Their dedication is what drives ICHF.
Five team member birthdays occured on this mission. One team member became infected with malaria despite appropriate antimalerial prophylaxis. Several team members (excluding the one with malaria) donated blood to the children because of limited local blood supply and blood banking facilities.
